Hello everyone and thank-you for comming. I will save individual thank-you's as Rob
has already done a great job of that.
As you may all know by now I am Rob's cousin Dan. Our mothers are sisters and we have known each other
since we were little kids. Me and Rob would have almost been considered brothers growing up but I never
realized that I would end up, all these years later being his best man. I have to say that I was honored when he asked,
and am delighted to be here today in front of all of you. I also couldn't resist the opportunity to come up here and
embarass him today.(everyone laughs)
Rob has always been a good man. Rob has always been a polite, witty, smart and respectful person. It seems almost like
yesterday that we were kids, and now he is getting married!
Rob is about the only person I know that calls me up to go see a movie and while we are in the theatre complains about
how he can't see the screen because he forgot his glasses again.(everyone laughs)Rob also spends alot of time on the
playstation so it didn't surprise me yesterday to see a seperate room Jenny gave him just for that.(everyone laughs)
When Rob and I were young, alot of days consisted of going to 7'11 and getting big gulps, then off to play playstation.
I had a grin the other week when Rob and I went to the mall, got a pepsi card that allows us to "buy one get one free"
big gulp, and he says, "Dan, we would have saved alot of money as kids having this."(everyone laughs)I had to chuckle at
that. Rob is also into hockey alot. He spends alot of time trading hockey players online with my email account. I just have
to say thank-you to him for all the spam in my email box for the last three years. (everyone laughs)Thanks Rob!
Jen is the luckiest woman for marrying Rob today, but looking at her, I can understand why he chose her, she's a very
beautiful, radiant bride. Jen, what can I say? You look stunning and you deserve each other the beautiful couple you are.
When Rob first introduced me to Jen at his work, Jen would go hide in the back all the time(everyone laughs), I thought Jen was
to good for him and I am delighted to see them here today and wish them every happiness for the future.
Rob, I'd like to leave you with a thought for your marriage, if a man speaks alone in a forest and there is no woman
to hear him, is he still wrong?(everyone laughs)
I was talking yesterday to a long time married couple asking him what he thought of his marriage. He said when his wife
and him originally got married, they both agreed he would make all the big decisions and she would make all the small ones.
He says, "And in 50 years there have been no big ones!".(everyone laughs)
